Farming is an interesting job. Plant the seed now, harvest after Mother Nature takes course. The wrong weather at the wrong time can be detrimental. However, the right weather at the right time can prove to be good business. What's in store for our crops in the next three months is unexpected, but the unknown is the best part of this job.
We have started planting in Watsonville, Ca for our summer radicchio program. The picture above looks over newly transplanted radicchio and the transplant machine with plants stocked for the fallow ground that waits to be planted. This Organic radicchio will be ready to eat on July 1st. So think of us this 4th of July when you are eating a spring mix salad.
Cheers everyone today is a good day. The sun is out.
