Frisée, also known as curly endive, is a member of the chicory family and known for it’s curly pale-green leaves. Frisée lettuce can bring dimension and texture to any salad preparation with its mildly bitter, peppery flavor and crunchy leaves.

A brief history

The Frisee is a type of chicory found wild throughout Asia Minor, Africa, and Europe. It is believed that it was first domesticated by the ancient Greeks.
